Psychosocial risk management guidance note (revised)

Overview

The current guidance note on Psychosocial Risk Management has been reviewed and updated to reflect recent legislative and policy changes, and to provide clearer guidance for duty holders.

Updates to the guidance note include amendments to reflect changes to the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 and Safety Regulations introduced in June 2025. The definition of psychosocial hazards has also been updated to align with work health and safety legislation and the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice.

The revised guidance note provides further detail on measures to control psychosocial hazards in offshore energy workplaces, utilising relevant codes of practice and current research.
